gorgeous braids you've got to learn now ...
It's summer, and to my delight, gorgeous braids and braided hairstyles are still totally on-trend. So whether you're more Elsa or Katniss, or someone in between, here are a few gorgeous braided hairstyles to kick your summer style up a notch (or three).
1. BRAIDED HEADBAND
This is my favorite braided hairstyle, and it's actually pretty simple to do! Tiny braids from each side of your hair, pulled across to make a band, and fastened with a boddy pin or clip behind each ear. It's so pretty! Maybe not the best for humid summer days, but ideal for indoors (air conditioning) or cooler nights.
2. BRAIDED BANGS
This one's easy, too! Start at one side, French braid across, then once you get past your temple, just braid the end and clip back.
3. BRAIDED BUTTERFLY
I don't have a clue how to do this one - YouTube, anyone? - but wow, is it pretty!
4. WATERFALL BRAID
There are a million YouTube tutorials for this one, but I'm sure your stylist already knows how to do it. It's so pretty!

black bags that are so versatile you can take them anywhere ...
There are many reasons beating great black bags is difficult. For one, they are usually so versatile you can wear them with almost anything. In addition, not only are they workplace-appropriate, you can use them in the evening and nobody will bat an eyelid over your sensible approach. Saying that, finding great black bags is sort of challenging. Just how do you source those that are versatile? Fortunately, there are seven out there I think will do the trick.
1. RALPH LAUREN PICKFORD CROSSBODY
Ralph Lauren always hits the spot when it comes to black bags. I love this Pickford Crossbody, because when you look closely you can see a little nautical theme going on. Usually, I am not a huge fan of gold chains. However, I reckon the ones featured on this bag give a Pretty Woman sort of vibe, so I’m willing to overlook them. In fact, I would even embrace them.
2. KATE SPADE CHERRY LANE RORY
Sometimes a bag just needs to stay slick. This clutch from Kate Spade manages just that. It is so streamline, it screams that you mean business when you walk into the office. And yes, this is one of those rare bags that is perfect for an evening out. Get your work wear right, and you won’t even need to change your outfit before post-work cocktails.

you can use to curl your hair that are totally genius ...
If your hot rollers are out of commission, you need to see this list of things you can use to curl your hair. Imagine life before the wonders of heated beauty products! It’s tough to envision, I know, but back in the day, women had to achieve their beautiful curls from items that didn’t plug in. Luckily, that means you can get lustrous curls even if you don’t own a curling iron or set of hot rollers. I love curls when I wear my hair down and I think you’re going to feel the same way once you see this genius list of things you can use to curl your hair.
1. A HEADBAND
One of the best things you can use to curl your hair is a headband. Sounds strange, I know, but stick with me here. Place the headband around your head so it sits on your forehead and comes down to the base of your neck in the back. It will look kind of like a hippie style. Then, separate your damp hair into sections, twist them and bring the ends up to secure under the headband. Use small sections for lots of curls and larger ones if you want looser, wider curls. Leave the headband on until morning, then loosen your twists and you’re all set.
2. GO WITH BUNS
This works if you plan to sit around the house all day, but have evening events you’re going to. Dampen your hair, then create several buns all over your head with it. Secure each in place and go about your daily tasks. Just before you head out for the night, spritz the buns with hairspray and hit them each with a blast of hot air from your blow dryer. Undo the buns and go.
3. AN OLD T-SHIRT
Before you toss that old raggedy t-shirt you’re done with, use it curl your hair. Lay the shirt out on your table and cut it into strips with sharp scissors. Thinner strips will make smaller curls while wider ones will give you bigger ones. Dampen your hair. Working in sections, roll your hair up around a strip of the t-shirt, then fold the shirt and tie it to keep it from sliding out. Once your hair is dry, remove the t-shirt strips and you’re good to go.

fabulous things with floral print for spring ...
I love to wear things with floral print for spring! With much warmer weather and more sunshine, florals just make everything better! Lucky for us, there are lots of things with floral print this spring. Here are some of my favorite items with floral print for spring, all of which you can get from Free People.
1. FALLING FLOWERS ROBE
This light little robe is one of my favorite pieces with floral print for spring. I love the color, and how sheer it is. It's my new favorite layering piece!
2. FERN LEAF CROWN
Okay, so a crown of leaves isn't technically a floral print, but it's so gorgeous I had to include it! It's the ultimate boho hair accessory - imagine this with loose beach waves, or to top a loose, wispy fishtail braid.
3. ROSALITA PRINTED MAXI SKIRT
I am absolutely in love with this maxi skirt and the very pretty floral pattern! There are plenty of bright florals out there this season, including this one - it's timeless, so you'll be wearing this skirt for years to come.
4. PRINTED BALLOON SLEEVE JACKET
Spring mornings and evenings can be chilly, so a light jacket, especially one with a pretty floral print, is just the thing. This one comes in two colors choices, blue or coral, so you can take your pick!

wear '80s fashion trends in a modern way ...
The 1980s was a decade of big hair and bright clothes, which is why many people avoid '80s fashion trends. The '80s fashion trends can be difficult to work into a modern wardrobe, especially since they can have a costume-like appearance. However, as you will see, the '80s fashion trends can be worn in modern ways and look quite stylish.
1. OFF-THE-SHOULDER
One of the '80s fashion trends was oversized shirts that were worn off-the-shoulder. Often, these shirts were very bright. The off-the-shoulder trend can be quite modern, but you need to keep the look stream-lined. Stick to shirts that fit closer to the body and are meant to be worn off the shoulder. Also, avoid pairing these shirts with acid wash jeans, which are another trend from the 1980s.
2. ACID WASH JEANS
Even though they were stylish at the time, the acid wash jeans from the 1980s would not be considered very attractive today. Most of the jeans from the '80s had the typical “mom jean” cut, which made them unflattering. However, despite their shortcomings, it is possible to wear acid wash jeans in a modern and stylish way. Stick to skinny or straight leg styles with a low or mid-rise.
3. NEON COLORS
Neon colors were extremely popular in the 1980s; people thought nothing of pairing all the neon colors together. However, to keep the neon color trend modern, you want to stay away from pairing different neon colors together. To add a great pop of color to an outfit and keep it very modern, stick to neon accessories. Hot pink shoes or a neon yellow belt can make an outfit very stylish. Personally, I love the addition of hot pink shoes.
